British man faces jail for leaving his baby son alone in his car at Malaga Airport
A British man who left his 14 month old baby in his car in Malaga
Airport car park could face a 15 month prison sentence for neglect
of a minor.
The incident occurred on March 9th last year when the man parked his vehicle in Malaga Airport’s T-2 car park. According to the Public Prosecution he then left the car park leaving his 14 month old son inside the car with the doors and windows closed. The baby’s cries were heard by a security guard who, when he found he was unable to open the car doors, called the police. Half an hour later the child’s father reappeared. He was arrested by the waiting police officers.
The man is soon to appear in court to answer charges of temporary neglect of a minor which could lead to a prison sentence of one year and three months
